Pittenweem Harbour - Summer Sunday

Light, bright painting of the busy little fishing harbour of Pittenweem in Fife on a scorching Sunday in late August. The jumble of little cottages tumble around the edges of the harbour and surrounding streets. The fishing fleet is all moored up and packed in close, with lobster pots, pallets and all sorts of tackle and gear stacked about ready for the next trip. Colours are blue, stone and white with splashes of terracotta and darker red and flashes of yellow.

Now framed in a modern, tray style with light oak, accentuating the honey coloured stone of the buildings and quayside.
