Pittenweem Harbour - Rebacca, Reliance and Friends

Bright painting showing the busy little fishing harbour of Pittenweem on a blazing hot Sunday afternoon. The fishing fleet is tied up and still, but creels and pots and all sorts of tackle are stacked about ready for use. The sunlight casts bright shadows across the cottages, boats and water. The blue, blue, cloudless sky disappears into a lilac heat haze near the horizon. The jumble of cottages huddled round the harbour have terracotta roofs. 'Rebecca' is bottom right in the foreground, Reliance hiding in the shadows in the middle.

Now framed in a light oak, tray-style that accentuates the honey colour of the stone houses and quayside.
