Midsummer sunset view over the mountainous Knoydart peninsula opposite Skye. The view is from the moorings at Isleornsay, looking across the Sound of Sleat to the mouth of Loch Hourne. The setting sun is bathing the hills in amber-gold, with reflections in the rippled water. Colours are gold, peach, lilac, pale blue, indigo and white.
A hand-made light oak frame draws out the golden hues and complements the painting perfectly.
