Etching of a fallen hawthorn tree growing on its side in a field. The twisted trunk stretches away along the grass, branches come up and out from one end, with spring leaves just emerging. In the middle distance is an ash tree with its long finger twigs still bare and another hawthorn below it. This is the fallen remnants of a long-gone hedge, refusing to die.
