Etching inspired by hawthorn trees in blossom on limestone pavement above Austwick, in the Yorkshire Dales. Hawthorn trees are special anyway. There's something very special about seeing them growing on limestone pavement. A first etching is used to create a line drawing, then successive levels of stopping out and etching to add layers of tone to the image.
