A soft focus view of a Dales classic: a hawthorn tree growing out of limestone pavement. It's spring and the tree has tiny leaves and lots of blossom. This was from a copper etching plate, different from my usual zinc. The lines are incredibly fine and consistent. I took the opportunity to draw less with lines and more with the tones when I aquatinted the plate, creating an impressionist view of this iconic scene.
